The SV70459 is an AS568-459 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 14.975 in (380.37 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 15.525 in (394.34 mm). This quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is specified for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and outstanding high-temperature capability. It resists aggressive chemicals, many acids, and engine and transmission fluids. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam are present.

Typical settings include automotive fuel systems, aerospace, and semiconductor equipment.
