Ordered as SV70462, this is an AS568-462 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 16.455 in (417.96 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 17.005 in (431.93 mm). The quad-ring seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The compound resists many acids, chlorinated solvents, and petroleum oils and fuels. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to low-molecular-weight organic acids or amines will shorten service life.
