The SV70464 is an AS568-464 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 17.455 in (443.36 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 18.005 in (457.33 mm). This quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

The compound resists petroleum oils and fuels, aggressive chemicals, and many acids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is specified for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where hot water and steam or low-molecular-weight organic acids are present.

It sees regular use in high-temperature process equipment, oil and gas, and aerospace.
