Ordered as SV70465, this is an AS568-465 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 17.955 in (456.06 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 18.505 in (470.03 mm). The quad-ring resists spiral failure in reciprocating service thanks to its multi-lobe geometry.

The material holds up against aromatic hydrocarbons, petroleum oils and fuels, and chlorinated solvents. Viton® (FKM) delivers the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving hot water and steam or ketones and esters call for a different compound.
