Part number SV70471 is an AS568-471 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 21.955 in (557.66 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 22.505 in (571.63 mm). A quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, outstanding high-temperature capability. The material holds up against many acids, chlorinated solvents, and engine and transmission fluids. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
