This o-ring is supplied in AS568-473 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 23.94 in (608.08 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 24.49 in (622.05 mm), catalogued under part number VITON75473. It creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, outstanding high-temperature capability. The material holds up against petroleum oils and fuels, chlorinated solvents, and engine and transmission fluids. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where hot water and steam or low-molecular-weight organic acids are present.
