Ordered as U70473, this is an AS568-473 clear Polyurethane (AU/EU) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 23.94 in (608.08 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 24.49 in (622.05 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Polyurethane (AU/EU) is widely chosen for long wear life in dynamic reciprocating service and outstanding extrusion resistance at elevated pressure. The compound resists petroleum oils, extrusion under high pressure, and abrasion and wear. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 200°F (93.3°C). It should not be specified for service in prolonged humidity at elevated temperature or hot water and steam.

It sees regular use in off-highway equipment, hydraulic cylinders, and construction machinery.
