Ordered as SV70475, this is an AS568-475 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 25.94 in (658.88 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 26.49 in (672.85 mm). The quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

It resists engine and transmission fluids, many acids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) offers long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where amines or hot water and steam are present.
