The o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, Polyurethane (AU/EU) is specified for long wear life in dynamic reciprocating service and outstanding extrusion resistance at elevated pressure. It resists abrasion and wear, petroleum oils, and ozone. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 200°F (93.3°C). It should not be specified for service in ketones or hot water and steam.
