This o-ring is supplied in AS568-905 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 50 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 0.414 in (10.52 mm), a cross section of 0.072 in (1.83 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.558 in (14.17 mm), catalogued under part number H50905. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Expect good resistance to greases and lubricants, petroleum-based oils, and hydraulic fluids. Buna-N (Nitrile) offers an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where strong acids or automotive brake fluid are present.

It sees regular use in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, fluid power, and general industrial maintenance.
