Part number A80909 is an AS568-909 black Aflas (TFE/P) 80 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 0.706 in (17.93 mm), a cross section of 0.097 in (2.46 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.9 in (22.86 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

The compound resists hot water, brake fluids and phosphate esters, and strong bases. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Aflas (TFE/P) offers excellent electrical insulating properties and high-temperature steam capability that most fluoroelastomers cannot match.
