Part number SH70909 is an AS568-909 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.706 in (17.93 mm), a cross section of 0.097 in (2.46 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.9 in (22.86 mm). A quad-ring seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

Buna-N (Nitrile) is specified here for economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs and most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. The compound resists propane and butane, petroleum-based oils, and greases and lubricants. Service temperature is rated from -40°F (-40°C) through 250°F (121.1°C). It should not be specified for service in strong acids or automotive brake fluid.
