This o-ring is supplied in AS568-916 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 50 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 1.171 in (29.74 mm), a cross section of 0.116 in (2.95 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.403 in (35.64 mm), catalogued under part number H50916. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) offers low compression set under sustained load, reliable performance in both static and dynamic service. The material holds up against water, propane and butane, and hydraulic fluids. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where automotive brake fluid or strong acids are present.
