This o-ring is supplied in AS568-916 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 90 Shore A measuring an inside diameter of 1.171 in (29.74 mm), a cross section of 0.116 in (2.95 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.403 in (35.64 mm), catalogued under part number HSN90916. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified here for strong resistance to rapid gas decompression, excellent abrasion and tear strength. This material stands up to petroleum oils and fuels, heat and oxidation, and modern refrigerants. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). Exposure to chlorinated hydrocarbons or esters will shorten service life.

Common environments for this compound include oilfield and downhole equipment, commercial refrigeration, and heavy-duty powertrain.
