-918 BLACK AFLAS 80D O-RING

Ordered as A80918, this is an AS568-918 black Aflas (TFE/P) 80 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.355 in (34.42 mm), a cross section of 0.116 in (2.95 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.587 in (40.31 mm). The o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, Aflas (TFE/P) is widely chosen for excellent electrical insulating properties and high-temperature steam capability that most fluoroelastomers cannot match. The material holds up against sour gas and hydrogen sulfide, strong bases, and brake fluids and phosphate esters. Service temperature is rated from -25°F (-31.7°C) through 450°F (232.2°C). It should not be specified for service in some chlorinated solvents or aromatic hydrocarbons.
