It resists most chemicals across the pH range, steam, and fire exposure. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Braided Flexible Graphite is known for excellent thermal conductivity and fire resistance, near-zero creep relaxation under load. It should not be specified for service in highly oxidizing service above rated temperature or strong oxidizing acids.
