*5/8" CARBON YARN WITH I.W. PACKING

This compression packing is supplied in Braided Inconel Wire built to a 5/8 inch square cross section, catalogued under part number 11820625-10. It provides field-serviceable shaft sealing that can be adjusted and topped up without disassembling the pump. Supplementary detail from the product record: 10 LB. Box - Approx. 40 FT.

Braided Inconel Wire is specified here for dependable service life when correctly adjusted, controlled leakage that lubricates and cools the shaft. This material stands up to shaft wear, process media, and elevated temperature and pressure. Rated for service to approximately 1200°F. Exposure to running dry without flush or over-tightening of the gland will shorten service life.
