*5/8" PTFE NOVOLOID FIBER PACKING

Ordered as 11770625-10, this is a Novoloid Fiber/PTFE Compression Packing built to a 5/8 inch square cross section. The compression packing is cut into rings and stacked in a stuffing box, then compressed by the gland to seal a rotating or reciprocating shaft. Source specification: 10 LB. Box - Approx. 46 FT.

As a material, Novoloid Fiber/PTFE is widely chosen for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and near-universal chemical inertness. Expect good resistance to solvents, nearly all industrial chemicals, and strong acids and bases. It is not the right choice where service requiring elastic recovery or molten alkali metals are present.
