5/8" TREATED PTFE YARN PACKING

This compression packing is supplied in TFE Filament built to a 5/8 inch square cross section, catalogued under part number 11740625-05. It provides field-serviceable shaft sealing that can be adjusted and topped up without disassembling the pump. Source specification: 5 LB. Box - Approx. 18 FT.

TFE Filament is specified here for excellent dielectric properties and one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid. Expect good resistance to solvents, strong acids and bases, and steam. It is not the right choice where service requiring elastic recovery or molten alkali metals are present.

It sees regular use in chemical processing, laboratory equipment, and pharmaceutical and biotech.
