7/16" GFO GRAPHITE/PTFE PACKING

This compression packing is supplied in G.F.O. Packing with a 7/16 inch square cross section, catalogued under part number 11800437-10. It is cut into rings and stacked in a stuffing box, then compressed by the gland to seal a rotating or reciprocating shaft. The catalog record notes: 10 LB. Box - Approx. 85 FT.

G.F.O. Packing is specified for controlled leakage that lubricates and cools the shaft, dependable service life when correctly adjusted. Expect good resistance to shaft wear, process media, and elevated temperature and pressure. Rated for service to approximately 550°F. It is not the right choice where over-tightening of the gland or running dry without flush are present.

Typical settings include centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, mixers and rotary equipment, and water and process plants.
