7/8" FDA PTFE YARN PACKING

This compression packing is supplied in Lubricated PTFE Filament Packing with a 7/8 inch square cross section, catalogued under part number 11700875-05. It seals the shaft while allowing controlled leakage that lubricates and cools the packing set. The catalog record notes: 5 LB. Box - Approx. 9 FT.

Lubricated PTFE Filament Packing is specified for one of the lowest coefficients of friction of any solid and near-universal chemical inertness. The compound resists strong acids and bases, solvents, and oxidizing media. Exposure to elemental fluorine at temperature or service requiring elastic recovery will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in semiconductor fabrication, food and beverage, and laboratory equipment.
