7/8" GFO GRAPHITE/PTFE PACKING

Ordered as 11800875-05, this is a G.F.O. Packing Compression Packing supplied with a 7/8 inch square cross section. The compression packing provides field-serviceable shaft sealing that can be adjusted and topped up without disassembling the pump. Source specification: 5 LB. Box - Approx. 11 FT.

G.F.O. Packing is specified here for field-cuttable rings for fast, inexpensive repacking and dependable service life when correctly adjusted. The material holds up against elevated temperature and pressure, process media, and shaft wear. Rated for service to approximately 550°F. Exposure to over-tightening of the gland or running dry without flush will shorten service life.

Typical settings include valves and agitators, water and process plants, and mixers and rotary equipment.
