Graphite Filament Packing is known for no aging, hardening or embrittlement over time and conformability that seals imperfect flange faces. The material holds up against steam, very high temperature, and thermal shock. It should not be specified for service in strong oxidizing acids or highly oxidizing service above rated temperature.
