This spiral wound gasket is supplied in yellow 304 Stainless Steel Class 900/1500 supplied with a 1 inch nominal pipe size and a Class 900/1500 pressure rating, catalogued under part number 7GSW4E0100. It alternates metal windings with a soft filler so the gasket recovers elastically through thermal and pressure cycling.

304 Stainless Steel is widely chosen for long service life in demanding outdoor environments, high mechanical strength and pressure capability. Expect good resistance to chemical attack, salt water and washdown, and elevated temperature. Exposure to chloride stress cracking in some grades or galvanic pairing with dissimilar metals will shorten service life.
