8-033 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

Ordered as VBU90033, this is an AS568-033 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.989 in (50.52 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.129 in (54.08 mm). The back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for outstanding high-temperature capability and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Expect good resistance to many acids, engine and transmission fluids, and aggressive chemicals. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
