8-036 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

APG stocks the VBU90036, an AS568-036 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.364 in (60.05 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.504 in (63.6 mm). A back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, outstanding high-temperature capability. It resists chlorinated solvents, engine and transmission fluids, and many acids. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to low-molecular-weight organic acids or amines will shorten service life.
