8-037 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

This back-up ring is supplied in AS568-037 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 2.489 in (63.22 mm), a cross section of 0.07 in (1.78 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.629 in (66.78 mm), catalogued under part number VBU90037. It allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is valued for very low compression set at elevated temperature and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. The material holds up against chlorinated solvents, petroleum oils and fuels, and many acids. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service.
