8-108 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

VBU90108 is an AS568-108 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.237 in (6.02 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.443 in (11.25 mm). In service, this back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is valued for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. This material stands up to chlorinated solvents, petroleum oils and fuels, and many acids. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where low-molecular-weight organic acids or amines are present.

Typical settings include chemical processing, oil and gas, and high-temperature process equipment.
