8-147 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

The VBU90147 is an AS568-147 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.675 in (67.95 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.881 in (73.18 mm). This back-up ring bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for very low compression set at elevated temperature, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. It resists petroleum oils and fuels, engine and transmission fluids, and many acids. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Verify compatibility before use with amines or ketones and esters.

Typical settings include semiconductor equipment, high-temperature process equipment, and oil and gas.
