Ordered as VBU90150, this is an AS568-150 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.862 in (72.69 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.068 in (77.93 mm). The back-up ring bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

The compound resists chlorinated solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons, and engine and transmission fluids. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) delivers outstanding high-temperature capability and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit.
