8-151 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

The VBU90151 is an AS568-151 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 2.987 in (75.87 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.193 in (81.1 mm). This back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for very low compression set at elevated temperature and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The material holds up against aggressive chemicals, aromatic hydrocarbons, and engine and transmission fluids. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
