8-152 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

Part number VBU90152 is an AS568-152 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 3.237 in (82.22 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.443 in (87.45 mm). A back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. It resists petroleum oils and fuels, chlorinated solvents, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where amines or low-molecular-weight organic acids are present.

It sees regular use in semiconductor equipment, oil and gas, and high-temperature process equipment.
