8-160 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

APG stocks the VBU90160, an AS568-160 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring built to an inside diameter of 5.237 in (133.02 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.443 in (138.25 mm). A back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. It resists engine and transmission fluids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and many acids. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
