8-165 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

Part number VBU90165 is an AS568-165 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring with an inside diameter of 6.487 in (164.77 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.693 in (170 mm). A back-up ring bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

This material stands up to chlorinated solvents, aggressive chemicals, and petroleum oils and fuels. Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for very low compression set at elevated temperature and outstanding high-temperature capability. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam.
