8-207 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

APG stocks the VBU90207, an AS568-207 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 0.546 in (13.87 mm), a cross section of 0.139 in (3.53 mm), and an outside diameter of 0.824 in (20.93 mm). A back-up ring installs on the low-pressure side of an o-ring to prevent extrusion into the clearance gap at elevated pressure.

This material stands up to many acids, aggressive chemicals, and chlorinated solvents. Viton® (FKM) is valued for outstanding high-temperature capability and long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in ketones and esters or amines.

It sees regular use in high-temperature process equipment, automotive fuel systems, and aerospace.
