8-312 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

Part number VBU90312 is an AS568-312 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring built to an inside diameter of 0.6 in (15.24 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.02 in (25.91 mm). A back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The compound resists engine and transmission fluids, petroleum oils and fuels, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
