8-322 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

Ordered as VBU90322, this is an AS568-322 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.225 in (31.12 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.645 in (41.78 mm). The back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

Viton® (FKM) is specified for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and outstanding high-temperature capability. The material holds up against aromatic hydrocarbons, petroleum oils and fuels, and chlorinated solvents. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where hot water and steam or amines are present.

Typical settings include aerospace, high-temperature process equipment, and oil and gas.

VBU90322 ships individually. Nominal inside diameter is listed as 1 1/4 inch. Confirm chemical compatibility, pressure and temperature against your own application requirements before installing.
