8-365 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

This back-up ring is supplied in AS568-365 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 6.975 in (177.17 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.395 in (187.83 mm), catalogued under part number VBU90365. It allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) delivers long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and outstanding high-temperature capability. The compound resists chlorinated solvents, many acids, and petroleum oils and fuels. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to amines or low-molecular-weight organic acids will shorten service life.

Typical settings include automotive fuel systems, high-temperature process equipment, and oil and gas.
