8-382 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

Part number VBU90382 is an AS568-382 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 12.975 in (329.57 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 13.395 in (340.23 mm). A back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

Viton® (FKM) is valued for outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. Expect good resistance to many acids, petroleum oils and fuels, and chlorinated solvents. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam are present.
