8-383 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

VBU90383 is an AS568-383 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 13.975 in (354.97 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 14.395 in (365.63 mm). In service, this back-up ring bridges the extrusion gap so the primary seal holds its shape under load.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. This material stands up to petroleum oils and fuels, aggressive chemicals, and engine and transmission fluids. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Verify compatibility before use with low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam.
