8-447 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

The VBU90447 is an AS568-447 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 8.975 in (227.97 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.525 in (241.94 mm). This back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) offers outstanding high-temperature capability and very low compression set at elevated temperature. Expect good resistance to petroleum oils and fuels, many acids, and chlorinated solvents. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to amines or low-molecular-weight organic acids will shorten service life.
