8-454 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

The VBU90454 is an AS568-454 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 12.475 in (316.87 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 13.025 in (330.84 mm). This back-up ring allows a standard o-ring to operate at higher pressures than it could unsupported.

Expect good resistance to many acids, chlorinated solvents, and petroleum oils and fuels. Viton® (FKM) is widely chosen for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to amines or hot water and steam will shorten service life.
