8-458 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

VBU90458 is an AS568-458 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 14.475 in (367.67 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 15.025 in (381.64 mm). In service, this back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

It resists engine and transmission fluids, many acids, and aggressive chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is specified for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).

Typical settings include semiconductor equipment, chemical processing, and aerospace.
