8-463 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

VBU90463 is an AS568-463 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring measuring an inside diameter of 16.955 in (430.66 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 17.505 in (444.63 mm). In service, this back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

Viton® (FKM) is known for outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. It resists aromatic hydrocarbons, aggressive chemicals, and chlorinated solvents. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to low-molecular-weight organic acids or hot water and steam will shorten service life.
