8-468 BLACK FKM 90D BACK-UP RING

APG stocks the VBU90468, an AS568-468 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A Back-Up Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 19.455 in (494.16 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 20.005 in (508.13 mm). A back-up ring extends o-ring service life by supporting the seal against extrusion under high pressure.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) offers excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments. The material holds up against aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and many acids. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
