Ordered as 11820562-05, this is a Braided Inconel Wire Compression Packing with a 9/16 inch square cross section. The compression packing is cut into rings and stacked in a stuffing box, then compressed by the gland to seal a rotating or reciprocating shaft. Supplementary detail from the product record: 5 LB. Braided Inconel Wire is valued for dependable service life when correctly adjusted, controlled leakage that lubricates and cools the shaft. Expect good resistance to process media, shaft wear, and elevated temperature and pressure. Rated for service to approximately 1200°F. It should not be specified for service in running dry without flush or over-tightening of the gland.
