Neoprene (Chloroprene) is specified here for dependable general-purpose sealing in exposed installations, balanced combination of oil and weather resistance. The material holds up against moderate petroleum oil exposure, ozone and weathering, and sunlight and salt spray. It is not the right choice where strong oxidizing acids or ketones are present.
