As a material, Aflas (TFE/P) delivers exceptional resistance to amine-based additives and excellent electrical insulating properties. The compound resists brake fluids and phosphate esters, hot water, and amines and corrosion inhibitors. Published continuous service range is -25°F (-31.7°C) to 450°F (232.2°C).

It sees regular use in oil and gas production, geothermal equipment, and downhole tooling.
