-146 BLACK AFLAS 80D O-RING

A80146 is an AS568-146 black Aflas (TFE/P) 80 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 2.612 in (66.34 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.818 in (71.58 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

This material stands up to hot water, sour gas and hydrogen sulfide, and amines and corrosion inhibitors. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Aflas (TFE/P) is specified for excellent electrical insulating properties and high-temperature steam capability that most fluoroelastomers cannot match. The material carries a published service range of -25°F (-31.7°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to some chlorinated solvents or aromatic hydrocarbons will shorten service life.

It sees regular use in geothermal equipment, power generation, and downhole tooling.
