This o-ring is supplied in AS568-159 black Aflas (TFE/P) 80 Shore A with an inside diameter of 4.987 in (126.67 mm), a cross section of 0.103 in (2.62 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.193 in (131.9 mm), catalogued under part number A80159. It compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Aflas (TFE/P) offers excellent electrical insulating properties and high-temperature steam capability that most fluoroelastomers cannot match. This material stands up to amines and corrosion inhibitors, high-temperature steam, and hot water. Published continuous service range is -25°F (-31.7°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving low-temperature dynamic service or some chlorinated solvents call for a different compound.

Typical settings include downhole tooling, chemical processing, and oil and gas production.
